1 cup millet : 2 cups water

Note: If you’re buying grains in bulk you may be getting dirt or dust along with them from the bulk containers. To remove any dirt/dust, place the grains you’re getting ready to prepare in a bowl and cover with water. Mix it around with hands, the water will become murky. Using a fine mesh strainer, drain grains and rinse. Repeat steps, until the water is no longer dirty. Now you’re ready to cook.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup millet
  • 2 cups water
  • pinch sea salt

Directions:

In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add millet and a pinch of sea salt. Cover, reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes. Grains are done when all of the water is absorbed.
