My birthday fell on 02.20.2020 this year... which, I don’t know for sure but, must be some sort of portal... so it felt right to do a little reflection on this past go round the sun. I shared them on Instagram last week and thought I’d put them here to so they don't get lost in the inter webs... These are the 20 lessons learned that came out...
Side note: So many of these lessons I wouldn't have realized without the help of a coach to see through the BS, have the a-ha moment, and grow from it. Sometimes it just takes another pair of eyes... If you're thinking, YAS! I WANT THAT!, let's talk. Schedule your FREE 20 minute strategy session here.
My 20 Lessons Learned Last Year
🌟 Sometimes the answer is be selfish. Usually it’s that selfishness that allows you to be selfless.
🌟 Investing in yourself is the best investment you can make.
🌟 You don’t have to have it all figured out or have all the answers to move forward. As Anna says in frozen just do the next right thing.
🌟Intuition is a GD superpower everyone has. It’s just really GD hard to listen to it in this crazy world we’re livin in.
🌟 There’s no one right way to do it... this is true for most things.
🌟 Friends, relationships, are a form of medicine.
🌟 Endorphins are a real thing and can save your sanity, especially when traveling with small children.
🌟 Life’s too short to worry about getting your hair wet.
🌟Fiercely protect your energy. Do what you have do to preserve it, if it means saying no, hanging up, walking away, you do what you gotta do.
🌟 Surround yourself with people you want to be more like.
🌟 You cant recognize something in someone else that doesn’t already exist inside you. Use what triggers you as a mirror to figure out what you want and what’s getting in your way.
🌟 Do at least one thing a day that scares the pants off of you.
🌟 Anything that’s built to last takes time, including your health.
🌟 You are stronger than you think. The biggest thing that limits you is in your mind: your thoughts. Pay attention to them, they are creating your present and future. Assess and adjust.
🌟 The body is an incredible healing machine and can do amazing things. Anyone who says anything to the contrary is simply one person’s belief. You can take it or leave it. My suggestion: leave it. (See previous lesson re: thoughts...).
🌟 Make a conscious effort to create moments and memories with the people that are important in your life.
🌟 Slow down. Get still. All the answers you’re looking for are inside you.
🌟 You have more control over your health and how you feel than you've ever been led to believe...
🌟 There is a magic in community. It's the one thing every one of the "blue zones" (ie. the places with the most people living to 100 in the world) have in common - a strong, tight knit, got your back kinda community.
🌟 A sweet potato is a perfectly acceptable dinner.
Which one makes you go YASSSSSSS!...?
