Hi, I'm Megan!

And I'm all about making healthy not feel so damn hard...

Even if you have special dietary needs.

Even if you cook for a (picky) family.

Even if you’ve fallen on and off the “healthy wagon” more times than you can count.

Since 2010, I’ve helped frustrated health-seekers dig through the muck of fad-dieting, prescribed diets, and low-carb everything to find what actually works (and sticks) when it comes to eating healthier and feeling great.

So... how did I get here?

Well--I wasn’t always the “health obsessed bestie” in the crew.

Nope! In fact, I used to call Lean Cuisines a healthy dinner (and then find myself in the Whataburger drive-thru at 3 am #stillhungry).

So when, at 22, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder all I saw before my youthful eyes was a long list of “NO”

...no gluten
...no dairy
...no soy
...no nightshade vegetables (though I didn’t even know what the heck that meant).

My life felt over. Even though--let’s be real--I wasn’t lamenting the loss of eggplant back then.

As far as I was concerned, there was nothing left to eat.

I was in pain, facing a life on meds, and the only alternative solution seemed to be a lot of rules, restrictions...

oh yeah, and hundreds of dollars in supplements.

Years of struggle, body resentment, experimentation, and being that “gluten-free” girl making those *ahem* requests at the restaurant led me to (finally) finding some joy in the kitchen.

Ultimately (through lots of trial and error mind you) reframing my “can’t-eat-that’s” to “who cares?! I’ve got all these other choices!”

I found love--and almond flour!
And finally, I took my love of food (and disdain for rules) pro!

In 2010, I started No Rules Nourishment because I was tired of seeing people like me flounder under the weight of all the rules, restrictions, and diets.

My mission is to help you stop feeling like utter crap, get back to feeling like yourself, and make your list of “foods I flippin’ love” waaay longer than the ones you want to avoid.

Oh, and do all that without feeling like you’re on a diet.

Cause--real talk--we all know at this point… diets don’t work.
I’ve been there done that, tried the whole “diet” approach to healing and that doesn’t work either.

Let me warn you (tho if you’re here, you probably already know this)...

Anyone who tells you (like my old functional doc told me) that healing is about deprivation…

doesn’t get it.

Cause somewhere deep down we’re all 5 year olds and you tell me I can’t have something…
What do I want?

The thing.

That’s why we do things totally different here.

Ya, sure, there are probably some foods that aren’t agreeing with you right now (we’ve all got em, whether we want to acknowledge them or not).

I like to deal with those the same way your mama told you to deal with the boy that picked on you on the playground…
Ignore ‘em.

And instead focus on all the foods that love you right back.

This is about nourishing YOU.

What does your body need so it can work all day and still have energy to go out on Friday night?

What’s going to nourish you so you can do allllll the things and feel like a million bucks while you’re at it?

I BELIEVE IN:

Choices vs. rules, food as medicine, individuality + uniqueness, vitamin J (joy!), feminine superpowers, educating yourself, straight talk, feeling more, thinking less

I’M NOT ABOUT

Diets, juice cleanses, anything one-size-fits all, old-school authority, white knuckling or muscling through

YOU CAN FIND ME:

Usually at home, hanging with my kids, or Zooming with my delightful clients, or making dinner, occasionally at JuiceLand

DAILY RITUALS:

But first, hot lemon water, 2 sun salutations, family dinner, books and cuddles before bed, moisturizing, cold showers (trying!)

No Rules Nourishment means:

01

Making healthy a choice,
never a rule

02

Focusing on nourishing yourself
vs following the rules

03

Forgetting those rules we follow because "they" said so (food fads, diet trends, health headlines, your mom’s bestie)

04

Adding in more of the good to crowd out the not so good (think more greens, less gluten)

05

Listening to your own body

06

Trusting yourself as the one and only authority on what’s “healthy” for you

07

Connecting with your own intuition and letting it guide your choices

08

Finding true and lasting health and vibrancy through that freedom

It’s a weird thing to be grateful for a disease.

But--without it, my life never would have changed in this fun “no rules” sorta way.

It's what inspired me to become a certified health coach. It shaped the way I help every single one of my clients now.

And it’s why they get such
STELLAR results...

(Yeah. I'm willing to bet I'm kicking my old functional doc's butt in success stories now.)

REAL RESULTS

THE WEIGHT JUST FELL OFF:

“I didn’t know I could feel this GOOD! In the first two weeks the weight just started falling off. I've lost 32 lbs now total! I’m so much more aware and motivated now. I wish I’d done this 20 years ago.”

- Susan S., Dallas, TX

REAL RESULTS

COLITIS IS IN REMISSION:

“My colitis is now in remission and I feel like I can start living my life again without worrying where the nearest bathroom is all the time! Megan made the whole process easy and painless. I feel drastically better.”

- Sean B., Salt Lake City, UT

“Yea that’s all great Megan... but I’ve got a family to feed and ZERO time
to get fancy in the kitchen!”

Heard that! I’m a full-time business owner and mom--TO TWINS! (God bless ‘em..they’re a lot of work).

When I became a mama is when I learned…*erm* It’s a lot easier to eat healthy and take care of yourself when you don’t have two little people you have to feed and take care of too….

Cliff Notes version of this story.... I got a heck of a lot more efficient - I figured out how to make dinner in 10 minutes (and I have a So-Flippin'-Easy Meal Plan + Mini Course that’ll show you how you can too)

And came up with 40 things to feed the kids besides Cheddar Bunnies

Most importantly - I re-learned a few (four) key truths I always come back to (see below).

It’s hard, I get it. Life is loud (kids are louder!). It gets so much easier, too. I promise. The food part I mean… parenting I’m not so sure.

Those truths I keep coming back to...

01

We have more power over our health than we’ve ever been led to believe.

02

Healthy is hard is a myth to keep us perpetually confused, overwhelmed and buying all the diet books and protein powders.

03

There are no rules or one right way of eating (or doing anything). You make your own rules and they’re not rules, they’re choices.

04

No one (NO ONE) knows your body better than you do. Listen to it. Trust yourself.

Work With Me

I get it. Change is hard.

I've done it myself over and over again and one thing I've learned is having a healthy influence to follow makes it a heck of a lot easier. And faster too.

I'd love to be that for you.
